In this puzzle 18 video games have been reinterpreted as text adventures. First solvers need to figure out which game each text adventure represents via the actions described. In each game, the name of some item is blanked out with question marks. Once the solver has figured out the names of the blanked-out items, the items should be sorted alphabetically, as the inv command does in many text adventures. Each blanked-out item is labeled with a number; extract the nth letter of each item in this new order to get the cluephrase WHITE MAN'S OR BEAST OF. This clues the answer, BURDEN.
