SOLUTION:

From identifying a few of the sound clips, as well as flavortext clues (and the title's logical abbreviation), one can determine fairly easily that the puzzle relates to Dance Dance Revolution, specifically DDR Extreme. It just so happens that there is a DDR Extreme machine in the Student Center game room...further flavortext clues indicate "Light Mode" for the difficulty.

Start at the star. The sound clip there is from "Synchronized Love." The arrows one must step on during the specified clip in Light difficulty mode go:
R, D, U, L, L, R, U, D, L
Following the arrows as directions in the grid, starting from the central star, leaves you at the letter N at (4, 3).

The clip at that location is from "Memories," and the arrows during the clip indicate the directions

Following these directions in the grid, starting at the N you were previously at, leaves you two squares above where you were, at the letter O at (2, 3).
