Montezuma's Palace
(back to the map)

Somehow, despite your confusion, you've finally managed to find Montezuma's palace. You enter through a carved stone portico to discover a lavish feast within. Montezuma himself is perched on a solidly impressive throne of gold. As he sips a cup of chocolate, he nods his feather-bedecked head graciously at you and invites you to sit down at the table.

The musicians finish their performance, to politce but unenthusiastic applause, and leave the court. You've just sunk your teeth into a grilled ear of maize when an expectant silence falls over the assembled guests. A lesser noble rises and says, "And now, for a special diversion tonight! Let me present -- "

... and a black hole opens in front of Montezuma.
