The symbols in the recipe stand not only for planets but for elements in alchemy. The elements here are lead, copper, mercury, iron, and tin. Taking their atomic numbers and multiplying by the given fractions when converted back to cups gives:

...and adding these together gives 41 + 29 + 16 + 13 + 2 = 101. Element 101 is MENDELEVIUM, an unstable mix.

Of course, alchemy is all about transmuting one metal into another. In this case, applying REMOVE ALPHA to the answer MENDELEVIUM gives the element EINSTEINIUM.
