Blood of the Creatures

The following is an excerpt from the journal of Dr. D. Esoll of Santa Rosa, CA:

My experiments on the creatures progress slowly. I am still perplexed by the changes that come over them. I have managed to extract a small sample of blood from their claws. Maybe this will help me identify them. In any case, I vow to someday bring their secrets to light.
