My research interests are in the large-scale dynamics of the atmosphere, climate change, and turbulence. I am particularly interested in the behavior of the hydrological cycle and of extratropical storms in different climates.
I am an assistant professor in the Program in Atmospheres, Oceans, and Climate in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences at MIT. I hold the Victor P. Starr career development professorship.
