The Operations Research Center (ORC) has administrative and research offices in the Muckley Building E40, which also houses a number of other interdepartmental centers and laboratories. Students, as well as resident faculty and visiting scientists, have office space in the Center. The ORC also has four computational laboratories equipped with networked PC computers and Linux workstations, as well as networked laser printers.
The ORC maintains collections of operations research journals and other related publications in the Philip M. Morse Reading Room.
MIT's extensive resources include a complete library system, with five libraries divided according to major subject areas and a number of branch libraries and reading rooms. Cooperative arrangements with other Boston area libraries provide access to substantial research collections. In addition to the computer facilities at the ORC, MIT's Information Processing Services provide data processing resources for both academic applications and research.
