The OR Center has 47 affiliated faculty and senior staff, with
faculty drawn from the School of Management and the Departments
of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Civil and Environmental
Engineering, Mathematics, Aeronautics and Astronautics, Mechanical
Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, and Urban Studies and Planning.
The students at the OR Center represent a variety of academic backgrounds and nationalities. The students have strong quantitative backgrounds and often rank at the top of their undergraduate classes. We are fully committed to maintaining a diverse community of scholars.
Graduates of the OR Center hold positions in academia, industry
or in public service.
Occasionally, OR-affiliated faculty will host visitors at the OR
Center to perform research in the area of operations research.
Resources for Easing Friction and Stress - This service consists of senior students from the ORC (called REFS) who support ORC students with any number of issues ranging from research, time management, communication, and personal matters.
The OR Center staff provides support to faculty, students and the
overall operation of the Center.
