• At the 2005 NCAA Convention, Proposal No. 3 - Reinstate the Safety Exception for Gymnastics was voted down.  Division III schools will be forced to work within the current legislation and interpretations.  More information at - www.votesafetyback.com

• New Head Coaches in the NCGA

• MIT - Jennifer Miller-McEachern - Jen was the first assistant last year and takes over as the head coach.  Eduardo Ovalle remains with the program as a volunteer coach.
• UW-Stout - Bryan Rottier - Bryan was the first assistant last year and takes over for Jeff Richards who took over the Division II program at Winona State
• Winona State - Jeff Richards - Jeff was the head coach at UW-Stout before taking over the program that was once headed by Rob Murray.
• Wilson College - Heidi Eiwin and Julie Heintzelman take over for Toby Towson.  Julie was an assistant last year and Heidi is a Wilson gymnastics alumnae.

• New Qualification Procedures to the NCGA Championships.  Only 6 teams will qualify and team qualification will be based 100% on the Regional Championships results.  Read more in - members

Former Wilson College coach Toby Towson has undergone a successful surgery and the NCGA wishes him a speedy recovery.  Toby retired from coaching in order to spend more time with his wife and looking forward to becoming a first time dad.
