Alan Pierson'96/'97

Graduated with B.S. degrees in Physics and in Music. His principal interests were in composition, theory and performance and his instruments, piano and percussion. A member of the MIT Symphony and the Chamber Music Society, he received and Eloranta grand and a Wiesner Award while at MIT. He pursued Masters degrees in composition and conducting at the Eastman School of Music where he co-founded the ensembles (Ossia) and Nuove Musiche and was assistant conductor of Musica Nova. He has an active calendar conducting new music.
