i'm involved or was involved with some of the following Projects
![]()
| Anak Ranch of Mongolia | High adventure in high Mongolia! Wrangle, rope, and ride the steppe! Actually I don't have much to do with this, but my good friend and old roommate Radigan Neuhalfen does. |
| GSB | CSAIL's very own weekly humor/variety address. Mike Oltmans, an excellent coauthor, has also done great work on keeping up the archive. My favorite is Sarcastic Socialization Tips(tm) |
| OddsAreGood.Org | a beta webportal for social event listings for MIT students and friends. It was just too easy not to build. Mark Foltz does UI and content design, I mostly just write the C# code. David F Huynh did the graphic design. |
| Redbook | a collaborative webportal demo the iMatch group did for HST. The idea is to collect info about projects and research at HST and present it for new students, who can use this to pick a project. I got in on the tail end of this project. Work done with Meghan Dierks, Lik Mui, Eugene Chiu, and Ralph Harik. |
| iMatch@LCS | a cool project at MIT's Lab for Computer Science headed mainly by Lik Mui. With Ari Halberstadt we've built a multi-agent system using Microsoft .NET. |
| Microsoft | where I was a software design engineer working on FrontPage2002. |
| Macalester College | where I got a BA in computer science, and worked with some of my favorite people: professor and friend Danny Kaplan, thesis advisor Richard Molnar, professors G. Mike Schneider, Susan Fox, and Karen Saxe, and classmates Ori Amiga, Greg Crawley, Eric Fuller, and Dan Dowma. |
| Creative Internet Solutions | a cool startup I worked for, but got bought out and changed their name. Started by Macalester Alumns, we used to use other Macalester technologies for active webpages - ColdFusion by Allaire. I think CreativeIS is now now at http://www.syntegra.com. And Allaire just merged with Macromedia, but they're still making ColdFusion and Homesite. |
| University of Edinburgh Department of Artificial Intelligence | where I spent a semester abroad. |
| and prior to my career as a software engineer... | I slung coffee at The Blue Note Cafe, in Duluth MN (nothing to do with the real Blue Note Jazz bar in New York). I went to high school in that town. The Blue Note doesn't have a web page yet, but its basically a less-friendly version of the Amazing Grace Cafe. |
