WHO - check a mail address

Usage: WHO address

The WHO command shows where mail will go if you SEND to an address.
                   --Response:--	--If:--
MM>who abc abc abc is a userid
MM>who abc xyz abc ROUTEd mail to xyz
MM>who consultant dcl consultant is a system alias
MM>who rich rich@comp.bfu.edu	rich is an alias you DEFINEd
MM>who ? (a list of aliases)	you DEFINEd one or more aliases

The response to WHO will sometimes be a list of names (try "who bug-mm").
If the address is not valid, the response is "... User unknown" and then
your own userid, since mail to that address would be returned to you.

The FINGER command gives information about users.
