STATUS - display information about your MM process
Usage: STATUS [VERBOSE]
The STATUS command will display information and statistics about your
MM process and current mail file. Adding "verbose" displays a few
additional lines of information.
Example:
MM>status
File /f/u1/abc1/mbox (mbox)
26 messages, 26 old, 3 deleted, 0 unseen, 37k bytes
Currently at message 26
Meaning: The current mail file is /f/u1/abc1/mbox (the mbox file of the
userid "abc1"), and its format is mbox (the usual format). The next
line comments on the messages: "old" means in the file before this session;
37k bytes (about 37,000 characters) is the size of the whole file mbox.
The last line shows what message is "current" (message-sequence "current",
used by various commands).
