Columbia MM
S> Send Mode

type

TYPE - display the current message

Usage: TYPE

The TYPE command displays the "current message", and -not- the message
you have just written. In SEND MODE it is most commonly used when
REPLYing, to see the message you are replying to. DISPLAY displays
the message you are sending out.

Examples:
    Send>type #shows the "current message"
Send>display	#shows the message you are writing

If you have used SET DONT-TYPE-HEADERS or SET ONLY-TYPE-HEADERS
to restrict what header fields normally appear, the prefix
LITERAL will override those settings and display all the header
  fields anyway.
