James Randi: Skepticism.001
James Randi is a renowned magician, so he's an expert at fooling people. He's also a professional skeptic, so he's an expert at spotting foolishness. Randi will tune up your built-in B.S. detector and demonstrate how to use it as an intellectual self-defense weapon. He will teach you skills you can use at MIT and for the rest of your life.

Randi has traveled the world for 50 years promoting critical thinking and heads the James Randi Educational Foundation, which currently offers the (still unclaimed) $1 Million Paranormal Challenge to anyone who can demonstrate real paranormal powers under closely observed conditions. He has appeared on numerous television shows, debunked famous spoon-bender Uri Geller, and even designed stage effects for Alice Cooper.

Admission is free! This event is presented by MITAAH in joint sponsorship with the Lecture Series Committee (LSC), and with the help of our friends at the New England Skeptical Society.
