A page for the fey folk -- those fun loving, pointy eared, winged, altitudinally challenged creatures we all know and love.
Science has long doubted the existence of mythical creatures. After long arduous hours lying in wait hidden behind second-sight screens and covered in a new top-secret aura-dampening powder, we have managed to bring you the following photos. Finally, here is scientific PROOF (ahem...) that there are still fairies in the world.
Disclaimer: No fairies were harmed in the creation of these images. No fairy habitats were destroyed. These images are original composites created and mangled with Photoshop(tm).
In Maui, researchers discover a
new species of fairy, the camo-fairy. Fairies were previously thought to
be extinct on these tropical islands. Numerous fossils have been found
trapped in the lava flows. This recent sighting however is the first
concrete evidence of the long-held theory that fairies have evolved
camouflage colorations which help conceal them from modern scientists.

A small baby fire angel was spotted prowling on snow covered slopes.
Adult fire angels are formidable opponents who in their natural form
closely resemble huge bright red man-eating preying mantises. Born with
shapeshifting abilities, the young typically go through several forms
before finally reaching the mantis state. This infant can already take
out a horse. Nice kitty!

Sighted around midday,
this elf was perched on the antenna of an automobile. It seems not all of
the fey folk are technophobes.

Fairy wings are usually laid out flat. However, since the structural
outer rim is pneumatically powered, it is possible in rare occasions to
see a fairy with bent, rolled, or folded wings. They are typically
sighted resting in flowers recharging their pneumatic reserves.

particularly nice.

For several days I had been
suspecting their influence. My code had been developing bugs overnight
and seemingly as if by magic. Finally, shortly after dawn one morning, I
caught one of these in the act of compiling. She flitted away of course,
before I could see which module had been touched. The burning question
is, do fairies use C or C++?

Look up once in a while, you might be surprised at what you see.
