you don't need much
to build a castle in the sky
fertile decay, the mirror around you, and a shore to lean on
salvage those scraps and worlds will unfurl:
wily grasses, spindly young trees, carpets of moss
plant yourself firmly in the aether,
and if you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anythin—
oh shit I sprouted mushrooms wow!

Connected to sake's card (vast -- stillness*)
Elegant- in the sense of self-reliant or rested into self & flourishing
What is the voice -- the best of the hermit (card before leaving)?
castle in the sky:
a school of mushrooms gather
amongst fertile fronds
stumpworlds
In the aether, in a ganzfeld
the world has everything you need
don't float away
this kind of commonplace thing that became magical and it turned out it had everything it needed to sustain life, grow this whole world
salvage the scraps (dead tree trunk, or piece of riverbank) and turn them into something self-sustaining
wily grasses, spindly young trees, moss and ferns
oh to be a tiny person and live there, that's the feeling I had when we saw it
planted firmly on its own in the ganzfeld, but also still connected to the shore via a small bridge
an outcropping
planted firmly in the air
with its rich soil and flourishing fronds
the island is a source of wonderment and life
to all of its tiny inhabits
sprouting in the sky
Ahhhhmmm... those worlds upon worlds...? Right here, in the aether,
Planted firmly I waited,
And the worlds grew themselves: wily grasses, splindly young trees, a school of mushrooms amongst fertile fronds...
Little one,
You may just be a scrap of dirt
(not done)
you don't need much
to build a castle in the sky,
fertile decay, the mirrors around you, and a shore to lean on
salvage those scraps and grow a world:
wily grasses, spindly young trees, carpets of moss
a school of mushrooms gathers amongst fertile fronds
oh to be a tiny person and live there!
(ok I like this, I like the opening a lot, but I want more of the feeling of *what it is like*, in addition to what-is, and how-it-came-to-be)
you don't need much
to grow castle in the sky.
just plant your roots firmly in the air,
wait,
and watch in wonder as a new world unfurls itself,
sprouting tiny inhabitants who
tend to their farms of flourishing fronds,
and wonder themselves about the worlds they have grown.
When you do things right,
people won't be sure you've done anything at all.
little one,
you may just be a scrap of dirt
but you don't need much
to build a castle in the sky.
plant yourself firmly in the aether.
with fertile decay and a shore to lean on,
you'll watch the worlds grow themselves:
wily grasses, spindly young trees, carpets of moss
a school of mushrooms gathers amongst fertile fronds
bridging aether and fern
you quietly wait for the next young inhabitant.
you don't need much
to build a castle in the sky,
fertile decay, the mirrors around you, and a shore to lean on
salvage those scraps and grow a world:
wily grasses, spindly young trees, carpets of moss
planted firmly in the aether, I am abiding,
floating, on the timesca—
oh shit I sprouted mushrooms wow
