His research interests include provable algorithms and data structures, with applications from concurrency to computational biology, and the methods of expressing and proving them. He is currently working on concurrent, shared memory data structures, convolutional neural networks, and segmentation.

He acquired a Master's Degree in June 2015 from MIT for his work on MergeArray, which he finished as he visited the Multicore Computing Group at Tel Aviv University during the spring semester.

He previously studied Computer Science at the University of California, Davis, where he performed undergraduate research under Professor Gusfield in perfect phylogeny.
