Personal Information
I am currently President and CTO of Bluefin Labs, a startup company that I founded with my advisor Prof Deb Roy .
Bluefin builds off of my graduate work on Grounded Language Modeling and focuses on linking comments in social media with content on broadcast television.
Before Bluefin, I was a doctoral student
in the department of Electrical
Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology where I worked with
on issues involving
language learning and non-linguistic context. Before coming to MIT, I worked with Dr. Eduard Hovy in
the area of Natural Language Processing at the Information
Sciences Institute, while completing a Masters of Science in Computational
Linguistics at the University of Southern
California. I have also worked
in the field of Neuroscienc News & Press
Technology Review Article on my PhD thesis work. (June 21, 2007).
