DPRODUCT


Description Uses specified criteria to select records from a database, then multiplies the numeric values in a specified field of the selected records.

Note This is a database function, which has specific requirements that are different from most functions. For information and expanded argument descriptions, see "Database Functions".

Syntax DPRODUCT ( database, field, criteria)
Argument Description
database A reference to a range containing data that the function searches.
field The column within database that contains the data you want to multiply.
criteria A reference to a range containing search criteria.

Remarks If there are no numeric values in field in the selected records, DPRODUCT will display 0.

Examples This example uses the example database and criteria ranges shown in "Database Functions". This function returns 8160:

DPRODUCT(A1:D8,"Sales 96",B10:B11)
