The scenario...

The religious righteous, in their best fashion, have managed to pass a
law removing the right to vote from anyone of the homosexual bent.

And the first elections with the new laws in effect are coming up...

With mandatory testing of sexual preferences before you are allowed in that
booth!

Write the scene of some of the religious right (or left, or whatever you
like) going to the polls that fateful day...

(what?  ALL the priests failed the test?  And the minister from the Holy
Reformers took one look at the testing equipment and just left without even
trying?

and who had the bright idea of checking for psychological confusion of
sexuality and power?  Most of the candidates couldn't vote, either!)

Think about it...
then write a little story.
