How about: It could've been any list, but I walked into your list... Maybe? In any case, the point is to let us know a little bit about the person behind the writing. This may be a standard born here, growed there, did this and that. It might be a metaphorical phantasmagoria. It might be a slice of life, taken from your past. Or maybe a dream, an outpost of wishes and hopes, shining with aspirations? Wrap it in words, polish well, and post it to the list using the topic tag "SUB: BIO:" so that your subject line reads something like: Subject: SUB: BIO: 1 life, hold the Mayo... Of course, you will probably have a more interesting and sensible subject. (for those of you who have been reading your faqs, this is slightly different. As someone pointed out, posting the bios as submissions may help everyone to see them.) You can also send it to mbarker@mit.edu (sometimes known as tink -- sometimes not :-) what happens to your bio? First, many people read it. At the same time, if we're lucky that rascal tink will put a copy in http://web.mit.edu/mbarker/www/bio/bio.html [Those who have already sent bios may want to double check that I saw it and filed it correctly. You may want to rewrite your bio... feel free to do so!] write about what you know? Well, you probably know you about as well as anything... so tell us about you, OK? tink
