Let us imagine, if you will, that the foreplay has gone past, the earth has moved, and all that climactic stuffing. [where's the turkey, and the mashed potatoes, and the pies?] But now, one (or both) of the characters is engaged in cleaning up and getting ready to leave. Showers, clothing, desultory conversation, and other post-coital interaction are the focus. [at least clearing the tabula rasa?] Show us that scene. The damp sheets, the return to humdrum tedium... And through your choice of words, the dialogue, and other interactions, show us how these two really feel about each other. Foreshadow their relationship in the large through their tender intimacies of the afterplay...
