Subject:      [WRITERS] SUB: Psychogenesis 1958 (delurking)

Hi all,

I have been lurking for a few days.  My name is Mary Ferguson Fiser, AKA
"Mimi."
I am 48 and live in Wichita, KS.  I write fiction, and also some poetry.  I
would like to introduce myself by submitting 2 pieces of writing that I
almost like --  the poem below and later a short short story.  I am hoping
for some useful criticism.

Psychogenesis 1958

    Granny's house:

        The theater where I choreographed
        ballets that I could not perform,
        accompanied by mind-sung scores
        my hands would never play...

            Rug-etched legs twisted up behind, I sit;
            Architect of my cardboard city, assigning
            paper dolls their rolls -- doctor, dancer,
            lawyer, linguist, president, priest, poet.

                Granny appears outside my city gates.
                Empress of this universe,
                my oatmeal cookie haven.
