Subject:      [WRITERS] Intro

Hi everyone. 
I just joined the list earlier this week and I plan to just lurk 
for a while until I get the hang of things, but I thought I'd 
write and introduce myself. My name is Lisa and I'm 23. I've been 
interested in writing all my life and was a journalism major in 
college-until medical problems forced me to take a leave of 
absence. I've written a lot of poetry and journalistic pieces as 
well as short stories-and right now I'm in the planning phases of 
a full length manuscript. I live in a really small community that 
doesn't offer a lot of support for writers so I was really excited 
when I found so many writing oriented sites on the web. I've got 
to confess though that I am basically an internet/e-mail virgin (I 
just bought a computer about two months ago) and I will probably 
make loads of mistakes with format and everything else. PLEASE 
tell me when I do because I really have no other way of learning. 
I hope dealing with me isn't too awfully frustrating for all you 
old hands in the computer biz- I'll try my best! I really look 
forward to working with all of you and I know already that I will 
learn a lot-and I hope that I can help you too. Thanks and I'll be 
talking to you soon.
