I've changed email accounts, and changed mail programs as well, so this message will be a test, a real question, and a re-intro. I've been mostly lurking lately, and I've noticed a bunch of new names, so this is my way of saying hi to everyone all at once. My name is Deborah Courtney-Bertha, though I am known also by Deb, Courtney, Deb Courtney, Debbie, and, my mother's all time favorite, Deborah Jean :) I am a student at the University of South Florida, studying creative writing. I expect my Bachelors in December, this year. I am currently working as a stringer for several local publications -- it doesn't pay much, but I get to by-line stories on a regular basis, and, well, eat. I am working on a novel (international law enforcement), about a billion short stories, and occasionally I try my hand at poetry. Right now, I am putting together a collection of short children's stories, the ideas for which I credit my son -- he and I are having a great time writing about sharks and stars and baby bears and a gorilla named Squad who protects children from bad dreams. Oh yeah...on to the question. IN the past, I have only received SUB, TECH, and CRIT. Under those three topics, I have never seen much about screenplays or teleplays (or plays for that matter). I am working on a treatment for a one-hour television drama, and will start work on a made-for-TV style movie within the next few weeks...I would love input, but don't want to post them here if it's out of the normal scope. If anyone else writes this stuff, and is interested in workshopping together off-list, I'd love to hear from you...or, if it's okay to post here, I will. Ta-TA. Deb Courtney-Bertha
