Journal for 2003 September 30
Finally, I have some time to stop and think, because I can't get to the other grading that I have to do. It's amazing how grading can eat up all of one's time. But I suppose I can't claim that recently: I went away to Vermont for the weekend on the ESG Talbot House Trip.

The first thing that Claudia, Jocelyn, David, and I did upon arrival was to claim a room and set it up as a pair of double beds. We followed that up shortly with such play within each couple and competitions steered by the Claudia-Jocelyn rivalry that I became too embarrassed to continue, and am embarrassed still. I said, "No, it's fine; I'm fine," and they said, "You don't look fine."

Many people slept late on Saturday (which I had not seen on Talbot House Trips engineered by Holly), and then a group of us went on a nice hike around the area. On Saturday evening, a couple of us decided to get high. While high, Claudia hit on the idea of getting those who were still awake, 5 of us, mostly not high, to take the MBTI. I administered, and 70 questions later, Claudia came out to be an ENFP. Was it just her "high" personality coming out, or something deeper? Since I've done some analysis, and I think it makes a lot of sense. Sure, ENFPs have a terciary T, but its their second most extraverted strength. N is goes to the top and S becomes the shadow, a relationship which certainly describes Claudia. The description of the behaviors of ENFPs also matched Claudia's in most ways.

Sunday I spent preparing again for Monday, and the whips of Olin are back at my back.
