Summary

Michael advises Monsarrat Consulting clients occasionally on finance and strategy. He worked as a portfolio manager for 7 years before getting his MBA from MIT-Sloan. For five years, he has consulted part-time for several firms, including:

  • World Federation of Exchanges. Developed a 60-page Working Committee Study used by exchanges and regulatory agencies to create and restructure stock markets dedicated to young, small or high-tech companies.
  • Answerfriend.com. Wrote an in-depth competitor analysis that examined for VCs the viability of the business.

Michael has been an invited lecturer to the Global Startup Workshop in Spain, and to the Universidad Austral in Argentina. He is currently a financial analyst at Deutshe Bank.

Rick advises Monsarrat Consulting clients occasionally on business development, sales, and recruiting. He is Boston's best connected technical recruiter, with close ties to the MIT community. He is an experienced Internet entrepreneur and manager, currently serving as VP Business Development and Sales at Sandstorm Enterprises, a security software firm. As Executive Vice President of Turbine Entertainment Software from 1995-1997, he managed development, investor relations and sought and negotiated publishing opportunities. Prior to joining Turbine, Rick founded, grew and sold two companies.
