this is a mirror geo gave me when he left his loft and wanted to get
rid of it. thank you geo!
it was decorated somewhat differently when i got it, and a lot of the
gold leaf had come off, so i scraped some of the old paint off, added
"instant gold leaf," some nail polish, and a lot of little blue stars...

i forgot to download the picture of the whole mirror from the camera. oops. it'll be up soon...
my roomate maggie left this coffeetable when she moved out. it was physically sturdy, but the finish was ruined, so i coated it in textured spraypaint, painted the sides and legs copper, the top black, pasted some postcards to it and painted a galactic scene on the background, mostly in nail polish, along with glitter, copper leaf, and origami paper. it turned out much better than i expected. then i coated the entire top in "envirotex lite" which is a two-part epoxy resin which makes a lovely glossy thick (1/8") coat over the whole thing. very nice stuff, though i'm sure it's not good for the brain cells.
