Is this a detour of the Massachusetts Turnpike through Adams?
It's not really up to Interstate standards.
Which direction did you say?
(The sign in the picture below is fixed as of June, 2003.)
A driver traveling west through Cheshire on Route 116 will come across
this sign. The diagonally striped sign means "pass on the side where
the stripes point down." Doing so at this bridge would lead into a
guardrail or stream.
A driver approaching Memorial Drive on Wadsworth Street might
see this combination of signs and signals.
This unusual sign is on Sunset Road in Bedford.
(Other towns have these too. Unlike many other states,
Massachusetts does not make it a crime to sell nonstandard
traffic signs.)
The residents of West Pine Street, Newton really want you to slow down.
Or else they are reporting the results of their MCAS tests.
The road dead-ends about 500 feet after these signs.
