Short Bio

I am an Assistant Professor at the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, a new graduate-level university affiliated with MIT.  My research interests include human-machine interaction, multi-agent learning, game theory, robotics, and interactive artificial learning. Current applications include smart power grids, transportation systems, and autism therapy.

My students and I have started the MII-AI lab.

The Masdar Institute of Science and Technology is accepting applications from students interested in entering its Ph.D. program.  Ph.D. candidates at the Masdar Institute will have a thesis committee consisting of professors from both the Masdar Institute and MIT.  Furthermore, Ph.D. students will have the opportunity to spend up to a year at MIT taking courses and conducting research.  For more information, please see www.masdar.ac.ae.  Also, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
