Origin of the Morris

The true origins of morris were revealed not long ago in a newspaper article about pheromones, the molecules used by many species from insects to man to broadcast information about the condition of an animal and especially to act as a sexual attractant.

Apparently morris evolved as a courting ritual. Morris men would keep handkerchiefs under their armpits to absorb the pheromones in their sweat and then wave said handkerchiefs to attract the females of the species.

Doesn't seem to work, though...
