CA -- Conclusions
- An amplitude peak is almost always found in the vowel, if the
vowel appears between two consonants. An amplitude peak may not be
found if the vowel appears between other vowels or semivowels.
- Likewise, a peak in the frequency of F1 is almost always found if
the vowel appears between two consonants, but not if the vowel appears
between other vowels or semivowels.
- Amplitude peaks tend to appear before the midpoint of duration.
- Frequency peaks tend to appear even earlier than amplitude peaks.
- Amplitude and frequency peaks usually do NOT appear at the same
point in time.
