The MIT Orthodox Minyan

The MIT Orthodox Minyan consists a group of students and community members who come together regularly for prayer, study and performance of traditional ritual practice. In addition, the Minyan is the core of a vibrant community. Undergraduates, graduates, alumni, faculty, and community members attend regularly to pray, learn, or eat and often stay to hang out. A common thread that runs through all attendees is their desire to incorporate Jewish tradition and practice into their lives at the Institute.

Our daily services and communal life make us the most active Hillel Interest Group and one of the most active religious groups on campus. These elements combined with our relatively small numbers come together to make our community a particularly warm and caring one. Every individual is encouraged to contribute to the community with their unique skills and talents, and conversely anyone who needs help can find it.
