What We Do
The Center’s main goals are:
 
 
- To design, develop and implement next generation technologies that leverage the growing ubiquity of low-cost, connected, and mobile devices in the developing world to stimulate economic and educational empowerment from the bottom up
 
    Center activities:     Research, design and development of the
                                    Open Network Enabler (
ONE Platform)
 
 
- To establish an MIT-wide program that stimulates and assists MIT students interested in using digital technologies for the benefit of low-income people in developing countries, and are keen to make their mark in the world by turning their interest into real, on-the-ground projects.
