- The Division III gymnastics community, led by
the athletes, has launched a campaign to get the Safety Exception
reinstated so that they are not denied access to their facility as it
has happened this fall. New website - www.votesafetyback.com
September 26th, 2004
- The National Association of Collegiate
Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W) has launched a new website at www.collegegymnast.com
to provide more information to it's visitors, promote all of
collegiate gymnastics and highlight the accomplishments of their
student-athletes.
- Division III gymnastics prepares to fight a
battle to reinstate the safety exception which could have
repercussions for all of collegiate gymnastics.
September 10th, 2004
- Stephanie Kite of the University of Alabama -
Tuscaloosa was named as the 2004 NCAA Woman of the Year for the state
of Alabama, keeping a streak alive in which at least one gymnast has
been named state winner since the inception of the Woman of the Year
