ESG Mini-Reunion 2002

Sunday, June 9, 2002

  1. Recall that the mini-reunion is scheduled for June 9 (Sunday)from 9:30am til noon (though people are always welcome to stay around and visit as long as they like). We will be meeting at ESG, and brunch will be served.
  2. In order to help us estimate how much food to get, could you please RSVP (if you're definitely planning to attend) with your name (and number of guests, if any) to either Glenn Iba (giba@alum.mit.edu) or Holly Sweet (hbsweet@mit.edu) If you ARE planning to attend, please explicitly indicate whether you would or would not be willing to have your name (and only your name, no e-mail or other information) listed on an ESG mini-reunion web page so that other's can see who else is planning to attend. (if you do not explicitly authorize us to list your name, then you will not be listed, in order to protect privacy)
    Current list of attendees
  3. Some local ESG alums, as well as staff and current ESG community members have volunteered to host guest alums visiting from out of town. If you would be interested in this, please contact Glenn Iba (giba@alum.mit.edu), who will be coordinating matching up hosts and guests.
  4. Informal ESGAN business meeting - The mini-reunion seems like a good opportunity to reflect upon and assess what's been happening with ESG and ESGAN for the last 2.5 years since the 30th anniversary event of October 1999.
It is also a time to plan for the future, including selecting new ESGAN leadership (Glenn Iba is"retiring" for personal and health reasons).
  5. If you have ideas for things you'd like to plan or do at the ESG mini-reunion, please e-mail Glenn (giba@alum.mit.edu) or Holly (hbsweet@mit.edu) and we'll see what we can do.
