283 Washington St. in Cambridge is a tan triple-decker, and is the
second house in from the intersection of Cherry and Washington.  Our
driveway is just before the house, and on-street "resident" parking is
unrestricted on Sundays and holidays.


DIRECTIONS:


By subway or bus, or by foot from Central Square - Go to Central
Square.  Walk down Mass Ave (along the subway line) in the Inbound
direction.  You'll come to a fork in the road, with Mass Ave
continuing straight toward MIT, Main Street forking off to the left,
and a fire station on the right.  Take the *sharp* left, which is
Columbia Street, and is directly opposite the fire station.  Walk up
Columbia two blocks, to Washington Street, and take a right.  283 is
almost two blocks down, on the left.

By foot from 500 Tech Square - Go as directly as possible toward
Central Square while staying on pavement.  You'll be on Washington
Street.  Stop when you reach #283, which is about 2-1/4 blocks from
Tech Square.

By car or foot, from MIT - Go up either Mass Ave or Main Street toward
Central Square.  Turn right onto Windsor Street (at NECCO on Mass Ave
or at Royal East on Main).  After Main Street, Washington is at the
second intersection, which has a blinking yellow light.  (NOTE:
Washington Street is one-way both ways out from Windsor (both right
and left).  Though the street sign and one-way sign are only on the
right side (toward Tech Square), the street *does* go in the other
direction.)  Turn left onto Washington.  283 is a little more than one
block down, on the right.

By car or foot, from Porter Square - Go down Beacon Street.  It
becomes Hampshire Street just before passing through Inman Square,
then at the 3rd traffic light after Inman comes to a small 5-way
intersection with "The B-Side Lounge" on the corner.  That's Windsor
Street.  Turn right, go through 2 traffic lights, then continue to
Washington Street, which is at the blinking yellow light.  (NOTE:
Washington Street is one-way both ways out from Windsor (both right
and left).  Though the street sign and one-way sign are only on the
left side (toward Tech Square), the street *does* go in the other
direction.)  Turn right onto Washington.  283 is a little more than
one block down, on the right.
