2779.273 - Jim's Scout Manual says the Great Journey lasted a century, the end of which was the formation of the Alliance, but he's not clear they were actually travelling for a century, or what...

Given that Humans and Tinoori first made contact in about -94 or -93 AS, I'm currently inclined towards the Great Journey was a century of arriving if the Alliance actually immediately followed the end of the Great Journey.

Maury says that the Santa Maria, towing the colony modules, would take about order 80 years to make the trip from where we believe Terra is to Ridena, without the colony modules, more like order 20 years. The Hippocrates, if you converted most of the internal space into fuel storage, would take order 30 years.

2780.024 - Dr. Kye & Jayla report that the estimates for how long the Santa Maria's journey would take ranged from 30-45 years. It was to leave Terra in 2679, which would have to be at least -125 AS if humans are to have any hope of encountering Tinoori in -94 AS. It could be quite a bit earlier.
