I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology working under the joint supervision of Guy Bresler, Philippe Rigollet, David Sontag, and Caroline Uhler. I obtained a PhD degree in Computer Science in December 2016 from the SIERRA project-team of the École normale supérieure Paris, France, where I was also affiliated with Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique (Inria) and the Microsoft Research - Inria Joint Center. My PhD advisors are Francis Bach and Simon Lacoste-Julien. Prior to that, I obtained an MSc degree in Computer Science from Saarland University, Germany, which was supported by the International Max Planck Research School for Computer Science (IMPRS-CS), as well as MSc and BSc degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Moscow Institute for Physics and Technology (MIPT), Russia. I also worked as a reseach software engineer at Yandex, Russia. For more details, see my CV.

In general, my research interests revolve around machine learning and optimization. These include inference for graphical models, topic modeling, independent component analsyis and blind source separation, and matrix and tensor factorization methods. I am also interested in estimation and inference methods for graphical models with provable guarantees.
