The Sioux Tribe

For the Sioux, it was hot in the summer and cold in the winter, fall, and spring. they lived in the central part of North America. They lived in teepees. The teepees were made out of buffalo hides.

They ate buffalo. They hunted them. They wore buck skin and fur. The Sioux had three names, LaKota Sioux, NaKota Sioux, and DaKota Sioux. They were very tall because they lived on the prairie.

Crazy Horse was Chief. He led the Sioux and the Cheyenne who fought against General George Custer in a battle. They fought in Rose, Montana. When Crazy Horse was a boy, he was named Curly. He earned his name of Crazy Horse. Crazy Horse was killed at Fort Robinson in 1877.
