The seeding tournament was held on Monday, December 10 in the antichess.net framework. The seeding tournament consists of playing each program against one another both as white and black and then awarding each team 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. Each team played both prior and post amendment games, which makes each pair to play a total of 4 games. 7 teams participated in the seeding tournament and for those who did not submit for seeding, a higher seed was given to one who submitted their program earlier.

The double-elimination tournament and grand final matches were performed on Tuesday, December 11. All matches were held using the antichess-net framework on Sun-Fire-T2000 machines with 8 x 1.2 GHz cores each with 4 CoolThread Technology to get 32 virtual CPUs and 16GB RAM. ("official player" machines).

In the last match of the Winner's Bracket, se64 (se64 - ShallowRed) faced off against se52 (se52 - The Orthogonals) who won their way to the top from the Loser's Bracket. The match ended by se52 checkmating se64. Since se52 has lost one game prior to this, another match was played. This time se52 won again by se64 throwing exceptions in the middle of the match, which resulted se52 to be the 6.170 AI Grandmaster for Fall 2007.
