Tsoline Mikaelian is a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT. She received the S.M. and Ph.D. degrees from the MIT Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, while working at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) and the Systems Engineering Advancement Research Initiative (SEARI). She received the Honours B.Sc. from York University, Toronto, with a specialization in Space and Communications.

Tsoline’s work has led to several large research proposals that were subsequently funded at MIT. Prior to MIT, she worked at York University on a novel laser communication technology and at Spectral Applied Research, Inc. on characterizing new types of spacecraft sensors for fault-tolerance.

Tsoline enjoys teaching and has been teaching assistant and guest lecturer for several classes at MIT and York University. She is also the recipient of many awards, including the Amelia Earhart Fellowship Award, a Presidential Fellowship at MIT, and the Academic Medal of the Governor General of Canada.
