As part of my Ph.D. research, I invented a manufacturing process and machine for production of thin PDMS films down to 50 microns in thickness. My research interests include adhesion mechanics, interface physics, polymer manufacturing and machine design. |

RealTimeRome was an exhibit at the 10th International Architectural Exhibition at the Venice Biennale, Venice, Italy, 2006.Cellphone usage in the city of Rome was displayed in (quasi) -real-time at the exhibit in Venice. I was part of the team from MIT's Senseable City Lab that created the exhibit. |

MIT ShuttleTrack is a real-time web-based vehicle tracking service. Salil Soman and I led the deployment of ShuttleTrack in 2002-03. We were funded by MIT-Microsoft iCampus initiative and the MIT Office of Parking and Transportation. (Note: The original student-created version of ShuttleTrack has been replaced by a commercial service since 2008) |

As part of my Masters research, I developed collision detection algorithms between non-convex 3-D solid models. I collaborated with Dr. Yoshitaka Adachi (then at Suzuki Motor Corporation) to implement the algorithm on a 6-DOF haptic system. |

As part of MIT's 2.75 Precision Machine Design course, we invented a new shaft coupling with no backlash, high stiffness and with ease of blind assembly. |
