About Me

I am a final-year PhD candidate at MIT working on gravitational-wave data analysis in the LIGO Laboratory under the supervision of Assistant Professor Salvatore Vitale. I am a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. I completed my undergraduate studies at the Schreyer Honors College of the Pennsylvania State University, majoring in Physics and Spanish and completing minors in Mathematics and Violin/Viola performance. I wrote my undergraduate thesis on the mass composition of ultra high energy cosmic rays. Before starting my PhD at MIT, I was a Fulbright Postgraduate Scholar at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, working on LIGO data analysis with Assistant Professor Eric Thrane. I am also an avid musician and play with a piano quintet through the MIT Chamber Music Society as well as the MIT Ribotones.

• Parameter estimation and population inference for compact binary coalescences
• Multimessenger astronomy including kilonovae and gamma-ray bursts
• Stochastic gravitational-wave backgrounds
