Excerpt from The Tech in December, 1966

This page plus the following stat sheet were found in 2007 by our 1963-64 Freshman Coach, Arnie Singal. Arnie is still involved in coaching at the local level. He was also selected to be the US boy's high school basketball coach for the December 2007 Maccabiah Pan American Games in Buenos Aires. Bradley Gampel '09, who was my advisee as an MIT freshman, and is now a varsity point guard and co-captain, also played in an earlier edition of the Maccabiah Games.

Statistics from 1963-64, MIT's "best ever" freshman team

This stat sheet documents the 14-1 season of the 1963-4 freshman basketball team. The sole loss was to good Northeastern team, one that included a future Celtic, Rick Weitzman.
