Opoczno, 10 April 1927 My devoted and beloved brother, I am surprised that you don't write to me of your health, business, etc. I have not received an answer to two letters to you. Perhaps you are busy? In any event, I ask you (to answer) as soon as you receive my card, as it will already be Passover there and you will perhaps have more time to write. So I ask for a long and detailed letter about you, about your beloved wife, about your in-laws, family, sisters, et al. There is nothing of importance concerning me to report. Business is slow. With the help of G-d, I am going home to Lodz tomorrow for Passover. Perhaps I will write something to you from Lodz. I am sending you a few newspapers dealing with a well known case which stirred up all of Poland. The issue involves an American woman, Zlata Rubin, and a Galician Rabbi Shapiro. Read it and be astonished... Heartfelt regards to you and your worthy wife, parents, et al. Uncle Lazer, Aunt Estherl and Aunt Malke send their heartfelt regards to you. With respect, I wish you a happy Passover. Wolf Lewkowicz All material Copyright 1995 by Marshall L. Zissman and Sol J. Zissman.
