Lodz, 21 April 1931 Dear and devoted Cousin, First of all, I will write about the state of my health. I hope to hear the same from my cousin forever. Further, I write my cousin that I added a note to my cousin in a letter from my aunt in Opoczno to which I have not yet received a reply. For Passover, I came home to my dear parents in Lodz, and I am still in Lodz to this very day. However, in a couple of weeks, I plan to go back to Opoczno where the air is better, and I feel better there as far as my health is concerned. Particularly in summer it's a lot better to be in a small town rather than in Lodz. My father is very distressed at our not having received any letters from you recently. You are mentioned often in our home, so that your not writing really makes us lonesome. I can now write and read Yiddish, so I look forward to my cousin's letters with impatience. I enjoy reading your letters. They are really interesting and important to me. In my lifetime, I would like to come to know my valued and dear cousin of whom I have heard so much in our home. So, heartfelt regards for my dear cousin and his dear wife and for your dear son, Leonard. Regards to all my cousins and everyone whom I don't know. I sign, with respect, Rifkele Lewkowicz Heartfelt regards from aunt and uncle and also from the cousins in Opoczno. All material Copyright 1995 by Marshall L. Zissman and Sol J. Zissman.
