System Administrator, The Nation Traffic.		      2005-2010.
        Led a group of 6 system and network administrators to manage
        over 200 servers running a wide variety of services housed in
        sites around the world.  Interviewed and trained new hires,
        managed immediate tasks and long-term projects, and provided
        ongoing mentoring, training and technical direction to the team.
        Configured, installed and maintained this large, heterogeneous
        environment.  Initiated, planned and implemented automating
        all server configuration with Puppet, resulting in vast
        improvements in server reliability and conformance.  Wrote,
        implemented, and maintained complete Asterisk configurations
        for 5 offices, including LDAP integration for user accounts
        and SIP phone provisioning.  Wrote numerous scripts to
        automate system administration and help desk tasks.  Oversaw
        the virtualization of complete server farms to VMWare or
        Amazon AWS.  Established extensive monitoring of all equipment
        and services, with automatic updates when servers were added,
        deleted or updated.  Wrote comprehensive documentation of
        policies, sites and processes.

System Administrator, Vionet Israel Ltd.		      2004-2005.
       Maintained a complex development environment and network
       infrastructure.  Researched, recommended and ordered new
       equipment.  Standardized and documented procedures for
       equipment installation and maintenance. Introduced version
       control, automated installation, and documentation for internal
       server software.  Evaluated and installed servers for bug
       tracking, source control, configuration management and

       Managed a large, multi-vendor international server farm,

       balancing and large capacity web servers.  Designed high

       planning, security and backups.  Supervised junior system

       Managed a cluster of Linux servers providing the primary
       Internet services at the Ministry of Education.  Responsible

       Described how to monitor systems and networks using Perl-based
       software, including Mon, an open-source monitoring project to

       Invited speaker to the first Israeli Perl Conference.  Spoke
       about Thokbook, an open-source personal library system that I
       developed.
