FTP Security Extensions

I am the editor of the IETF standards track specification FTP Security Extensions (RFC 2228). This document defines extensions to the base FTP specification (RFC 959). These extensions provide strong authentication, integrity, and confidentiality for the file transfer protocol.

You can find out the current status of the standard by consulting Internet Official Protocol Standards (STD 1). Once the document is loaded, search for ``FTP Security Extensions''.

You can read the document itself.

You can look at my list of available implementations.

If you have any questions about the specification itself, feel free to contact me.
